La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo Review!

Today I'm bringing you a review of the ever so sought after 'La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo' that I think every single person has tried excluding me until a few weeks ago when I picked it up in my local Boots store. After hearing so much about this moisturiser, I had really high expectations, and had incredibly high hopes for this, and I quote 'miracle worker'...

Unfortunately I didn't get the exact results I desired from this little tube of cream. However It definitely didn't make my skin any worse. I found that when I applied it all over my face it kind of just made it feel a little bit dirty and clogged my pores, although when I tried it specifically on problem areas where I had breakouts, especially my chin, I saw a significant decrease in the size and redness of the blemishes. This can only be due to the moisturiser.

It has quite a clinical and distinctive scent to it, but it's one of those that smells like it would work. The same way if something stings when you apply it to an area, it automatically feels like it's working, I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but you know what I mean. Consistency wise, it's very thin and quite runny, which is quite a nice but different alternative to my usual moisturiser!

Overall, It is brilliant for reducing redness, and an instant pick-me-up if you have an area in need of TLC and want results fast! Personally, I wouldn't apply this all over my face just because I feel it didn't really do anything in terms of preventing breakouts or unclogging pores etc.

Overall, 7/10

Have you ever tried this product?

Have a great day!

Paris Fashion Week, Elie Saab!

Sitting contentedly, the anticipation began to creep in as the lights dimmed at the Elie Saab Spring Summer Haute Couture Collection 2014 (Wednesday 22nd January) hosted at the Theatre National de Challiot, Paris. As Beyonce's upbeat 'Blow' sounded, I knew within an instant that inevitably, it wasn't going to disappoint.

Colours ranging all the way from alluring pastels to irresistible black and purple ombré gowns in elegant, draping fabrics graced the catwalk. Eye-opening floral prints forced eyes to gaze in admiration. My personal favourite being the somewhat innocent pale pink dress embroidered with stunning crochet detail and shimmering sequins.

This was a collection based around femininity, empowerment and exquisite detail. Some featured profound structure and design, whereas other highlighted passionate baby-doll style designs and more loosely flowing material; both intelligently captivating and intriguing. The show came to a halt when the final model was released from the wings, wearing none other than the bridal gown. Probably the most impressive of the show, the enchanting masterpiece flaunted it's tantalising presence, simply stunning!

What do you think to Elie Saab's new collection?

Have a great day!

Paris Fashion Week Photos!

As you may already know from my constant tweets and instagram pictures, I recently attended Paris Fashion Week. I loved every single second of it and it was only right to share such a special experience with you lovely readers. So here goes...

One of my favourite shows, Charlotte Licha, especially the bridal gown as shown above. Such a beautiful preview that I will never forget.
Preparation for the Frank Sorbier Show!

Yiquin Yin was a show I absolutely loved it, such intricate and original designs!
The Dilek Hanif show was again one of my favourites of the lot. Such stunning gowns, I can't wait to see more from them!
Rather than having a full blown show, Ilya had a presentation going on throughout the day which was incredibly different but it meant you got to see the clothes a little more close up, for a longer period of time, I loved it!
I loved the intimacy of the Julien Fournie show, I had the chance to get a really close view of the collection which is always nice!
The only shot I got from the Stephan Rolland show, but if you couldn't already tell (Sorry for blurry photo!) *Tries to play it cool* it's KIM KARDASHIAN! She looked fabulous in all white sat on the front row. I couldn't believe my eyes, definitely a moment I will never forget.
The last show I attended (Serkan Cura) and perhaps one of my favourites, it was just so easy on the eye and every single item was different from the next. Everything I expected!
I happened to bump into the woman behind All Around Eve and managed to get a shot of her, I spotted her a few times and absolutely loved the outfits she wore!
Finally, probably my favourite dress of the whole week... The bridal gown from Elie Saab. The detailing was just exquisite and it was honestly one of the most beautiful gowns I have ever seen.

Paris Fashion Week, Charlie Le Mindu S/S'14 Show.

Monday 20th January marked the exclusive preview of the Charlie Le Mindu S/S'14 'Stronger' collection at DS World Paris. Psychedelic and phosphorescent colours illuminated the dark atmosphere exposing radiant, neon head dresses and latex silhouettes; which had been put to practise within the several months preparation beforehand in total darkness. Many layers of elevation were explored as the models portrayed all different positions whilst flaunting the ambitious masks and headgear. The outrageous but simultaneously incredible and fascinating head wear challenged anything I've ever seen before, it will definitely not be a show to forget! Charlie Le Mindu himself made a minute appearance towards the end of the show where observers showed gratitude towards his outstanding efforts.

Have a great day!
