Christmas Wishlist- Fashion Edition!

Christmas Wishlist- Fashion Edition
Black Chelsea Boots, H&M | Mint Green Coat, Romwe | Tartan Trousers, Zara | Red Scarf, Barbour | Bag, Chanel | Pink Coat, Topshop |

Winter fashion is my absolute favourite type of fashion, if that's even a thing. I just love the dark vampy colours and the autumnal prints! Coming up are a few items that I would love to add to my wardrobe this Christmas!

H&M Black Chelsea Boots-
I bought a pair of chestnut Chelsea boots this time last year and haven't had them off since. If I can get so much wear out of a pair of brown ones I dread to think how much wear I would get out of a pair of black ones. I mean it when I say they go with pretty much any outfit you pair them with, and look great! I would definitely benefit from a pair of plain black ones *hint hint*!

Romwe Mint Green Coat-
I know this is on my wish list but I cheated and bought this already, although I ordered it over a month ago and it still hasn't arrived... This little beauty from Romwe, I spotted it on one of Patricia Bright's videos who is an amazing Blogger and 'YouTuber' whom you should all go check out right now! I love the pastel trend that's hit the hughstreet this winter, it would add a nice pop of colour to an all black outfit!

Zara Tartan Trousers-
I think these are a little bit of a hit or miss for some people, but personally I love them! I don't own anything like this so they would be a great piece to have. I think the green ties in really well with the blue, and although they are both very different colours, they look very classy but still comfortable!

Barbour Tartan Scarf-
Yet again another tartan piece, everyone is continuously going on about the tartan scarf and I completely understand why. They are just so beautiful and are a great way to add some colour and texture to an outfit, and with a big coat and a hat, a tartan scarf would fit right in.

Chanel 2.55-
I wish I could say the same thing about this as I did for the coat, I don't think I will ever own anything as beautiful as this for as long as I live, and if I am ever lucky enough to own one, it won't be for a very (VERY) long time. I mean I don't think I could even trust myself with an item like this just because I would be so scared to damage or ruin it. Nonetheless, this is probably the most beautiful bag on the market in my opinion and is an absolutely timeless, classic piece. Oh Coco...

Topshop Pastel Pink Coat-
As embarrassing as it sounds I must have stood in front of the mirror in Topshop for what felt like an eternity (probably more like ten minutes) just adoring this coat. Again, this demonstrates the pastel trend and would look like you had done your research on fashion, and simultaneously be wrapped up warm in a big snuggly coat! Sounds ideal to me.

Do you own any of the items featured? What do you like best about winter fashion?

Have a great day!

My two lovely friends bought me this for my actual birthday earlier this month but I thought it was kind of relevant!
Wow, I honestly can't quite believe that I am sat here writing his right now. A year ago today, is the day I set up my blog, wrote my first post, and clicked the incredibly satisfying publish button, for the first time. Did I mention 'the first time' in that sentence?

I was dwelling on the idea of setting up 'MegBolderson' for a few weeks. I knew I wanted to be some form of journalist and I thought that blogging would be great way to start me off, even if no one actually read it. I wanted to stay grounded and not become pretentious, I mean who starts a blog and within a week has a million readers, really? I remember exactly how it happened. I was at my dads old house, in his office, and the growing idea of starting a blog had ripened and I knew exactly what I needed to do. I typed 'blogger' into the little window and the rest was history...

Little did I know, people actually read my blog, like real people, humans. People actually take time out of their day to read what I have to say, and that means more to me than anything. Now, not that I purposely want to bore you and I don't want to have to do the stereotypical 'thank you speech', but it's long overdue and I just wanted to say thank you to each and every one of you that have stood by me for the duration of this wonderful year, and I am honestly beyond grateful for your continuos support!  Proud is just an understatement and to have such a lovely community behind me makes all the difference, I love you all extraordinarily.

P.s I also hit 10,000 page views a few days ago- a milestone I thought I would never acheive! Thank you so much for your continuos love and support!
Have a great day!

November Playlist

Considering i'd class myself as more of a fashion and beauty blogger, there is noting I love more than incorporating my passion for writing with music! It's definitely the ultimate combination, so I'm going to make more of an effort to make this a monthly series.

Vampire Weekend- 'Hannah Hunt'
Up first is a band you all probably know I'm crazy about, Vampire Weekend! After waiting for the day since the first time I ever heard them on the radio, I managed to see them live at their gig in Leeds on Saturday at the new arena in Leeds. They were absolutely sensational and the crowd was insane, definitely a memory that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Anyway, a song I'm currently obsessed with is Hannah Hunt, I just can't stop playing it. The use of instruments in the songs is incredible, I must have listened to it about 20 times today already. Their sound is just so unique and individual, and although I like to think I'm open to a variety of music, Vampire Weekend are and probably always will be my favourite band.

Noah and the Whale- '5 Years Time'
That leads me nicely onto my next song, 5 years time from Noah and the Whale. They were the supporting act for Vampire Weekend and were as always, amazing. After seeing them live for the first time, I would definitely love to see them again, and plan on doing so next time they are nearby. The song is just so upbeat and positive and every time I hear it I just want to get up and dance, but it doesn't take much...

Ariana Grande- 'Right Here'
Thirdly is Ariana Grande, Right Here, I heard this song earlier this month and despite already being a huge fan of her, her songs just keeps expanding and I think its about time I bought her album. Her range is unbelievable and everything she sings sounds angelic.

Semisonic- 'Closing Time'
Ok, I know this song has been around a long time, but every single time it happens to play during shuffle I just can't help but sing. It's a complete classic and everything about it is so thrilling. It's one of those songs that I tend to forget about, so when it does magically appear through my speakers I fall more and more in love with it.

Shakka- 'Just Want To See You'
After hearing this on Radio 1 earlier this month it quickly made it's way into my favourites, it's one of those songs that sounds live, but isn't. I'm not quite sure who this Shakka is but he definitely deserves more recognition in the music industry, his sounds is so different! The song is raw, and real, if that makes any sense. It seems like what he's singing about, he's singing it for a reason. Just listen and you'll see what I mean.

Two Door Cinema Club- 'Changing of the Seasons'
Two Door Cinema Club are another brand I don;t know much about, but just love the music they create. Changing of the Seasons is not only incredibly appropriate for the season as winter is around the corner, but it's also an amazing song.

Christmas Songs
Did you really think I could depart without exposing my love for Christmas songs? Even if it's only November, I'm completely in the Christmas already, however I have resisted the urge to put the tree up. For now, I'll have to make do with Christmas songs, who's complaining?

What songs are you currently loving? Do you like any of the songs I featured?

Have a great day!

Festive Fashion

Image Background Source- Tumblr
Fashion is obviously the prime factor in why most of us are here, certainly me anyway. Without fashion, I couldn't be a fashion blogger, I couldn't be a fashion enthusiast and I sure would have a lot more money. However, fashion is something a lot of people take pride in, a way in which we express ourselves and without fashion, I think the world we live in would be a very mundane and unmotivated environment. I love the way fashion can instantly change the way the mind reacts to things, and has the ability to instantly change how you feel.

My absolute favourite season for fashion is the A/W months. The structure of a outfit is completely different to summer, depending on the occasion, in my opinion. Despite the fact that in summer I love running through fields in nothing but a bright summer dress and a floppy hat (I wish), I love nothing more than wrapping up warm in 10 different layers, throwing on a thick knitted scarf and a pair of boots! Adding depth to an outfit is probably my favourite element to festive fashion, I love pairing knitted jumpers with woollen coats, or the other way around.

My attitudes towards festive fashion have changed a lot throughout the years. I used to hate the winter, and now... Well let's just say I want it to snow purely so I can pile on the jumpers. On that note, as part of the Next Blogger Network I thought it would be a great idea to make a wishlist of the most beautiful festive pieces from their website that I adore!

The tartan print is massive this season as most of you will already know. This coat is so different because although it still incorporates the tartan print it has a complete different edge in this khaki green almost grey colour. It would also be extremely easy to wear as the dark colour is simpler to style, making any outfit look effortlessly well put together!

I don't care who you are, the cheesy reindeer Christmas jumper is an absolute necessity when it comes to winter!

I remember seeing something like this in H&M years ago and never bought it but haven't stopped thinking about it since, this takes layering to whole new depths, I just love this so much!

A trouser with a subtle check like this are amazing, the simplicity of them opens so many doors in terms of what to pair them with, and the monochrome element makes everything so much more straightforward.

What are your opinions on festive fashion? What was your favourite thing I featured?

Have a great day!

Christmas Wishlist- Beauty Edition! | MegBolderson.

Christmas Wishlist- Beauty Edition!

Hello there everyone! As you may all know Christmas Is just around the corner, and I've been struggling as to what to ask for this Christmas. After brainstorming (*searching all over the Internet*) for ideas, I finally got a few beauty products together and thought I would show you what is on my wish list this year.

Mac Omega Eyeshadow- After watching a whole lot of YouTube videos, I soon realised that if you have blonde hair like me, Omega is a perfect shade for your brows, or at least better than what I'm using at the moment. I'm currently using a really dark brown shadow from Urban Decay but it's the only thing that I can make work if I try hard enough. I also want my eyebrows to look a lot more natural and look less 'drawn on', and even though essentially, that is what they are, I want them to look somewhat natural, so maybe Omega will be the answer to my prayers!

Dolce and Gabanna Light Blue- I have most likely mentioned this in a post before, but this is honestly one of the most amazing fragrances I've ever smelt. I was a queue away from buying this little miracle once but I then saw Dolce and Gabanna L'eur The One and decided to go for that one instead, seen as I can't find it anywhere, even online. I think the fact I can't stop thinking about this justifies putting it on my wish list this year, and although it's a very light, summer scent, I just need to own it.

Urban Decay Primer Potion- I had this product years and years ago in a palette I was given for my birthday once and have been meaning to purchase it again for quite some time now. It really is as amazing as everyone says. The eyeshadow applies better, looks brighter and lasts longer, amazing!

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr- My friend has a few of these and they look amazing! I love the concept of wearing them by themselves, and it still looking like you made an effort with your eye makeup. Seen as I'm still in high school, who wants to be doing a full eye look on a morning?!

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Lipstick- Shade 7 Lingerie Pink-
I mean packaging alone, these lipsticks are just divine, but the colour, that is another story. Lingerie Pink is this beautiful pink with a hint of shimmer, nothing too dramatic but still gives your lips that glowing shine. Considering the only high end lipsticks I own are Mac, it might be nice to try something else. I'm not a packaging snob whatsoever (yeah right) but this is certainly going to look beautiful in my amongst my makeup.

Real Techniques Brushes- Everyone owns at least one of these, and if you don't, where have you been? They really are brilliant brushes an you can't go wrong for the affordable prices they retail at! Check out my Real Techniques powder brush review here.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer- I've been wanting this for quite some time now, I think a foundation primer is something I'm missing in my routine, and from the reviews I've heard it will make a huge difference to the way my foundation applies, looks, and lasts. apparently it's incredibly heavy though so if I ever happen to own it, I'll have to be careful with how much I apply.

Nars Laguna Bronzer- A cult favourite for many, this bronzer is loved by many. Every single bronzer I've tried either breaks me out or is too orange for my skin. Maybe a more expensive bronzer will work better for my skin because I just can't find one I like!

What's on your Christmas wish list? Have you tried anything I featured in this post?

Have a great day!

What's On My Dressing Table? Christmas Edition | MegBolderson.

Hello Everyone, so as we all know, Christmas is almost here! Well, not really, more like 2 months away. Perhaps considering I wait more or less 10 months for this time to come around, I think I deserve to be a little excited a little early (as some would say). Before we know it we'll be packing up the Christmas decorations and saying goodbye to Christmas, so let's make the most of it before it's over!

Every year is different. however sometimes I struggle to get in the Christmas mood, more so when I was younger, however what harm does a few additions to my room to make it feel a little more cosy do? This year it's all about candles, who am I kidding, Christmas is always about candles. I honestly never knew how much of a difference candles make to a room, especially one that isn't particularly big, like mine. They just send such a satisfying aroma throughout the room creating more of a somewhat relaxed vibe.

Fairy Lights are also my key to Christmas. If you have a mirror like mine, you have to get a set of fairy lights if you're feeling a little demotivated about Christmas. I know this sounds ridiculous and slightly delusional, but they make me feel a lot more welcome in my own space, I don't mean I don't feel welcome any other time of the year, but every time I turn them on I just feel so much more at home!

Christmas is most definitely my favourite time of the year, the weather, the festivities, the dark nights, the list could go on forever!

What is your favourite time of the year?

Have a great day!

Arabelle Skin Sense Balance It Oil Cleanser Review | MegBolderson.

Balance It Oil Cleanser*- £15.50 buy here
For about a year now, I've had the same skincare routine. When I find something that works for me I usually don't change it until I absolutely have to. Consisting of merely face wash and moisturiser I thought it was about time I switched things up a little- that is when I stumbled upon this little miracle.

I've never used an oil cleanser before, so it was all new to me. I thought there might be some complicated routine following application of the cleanser, but no! Low and behold, this product really is a lot more straightforward that I ever expected.

I don't bother removing my makeup first because the cleanser does it for me, and the same with moisturiser afterwards. I apply it by pumping a small amount onto my face and let the product saturate into my skin for around 30 seconds, I then rinse off with warm water and pat dry with a towel, wallah!- (Terrible sound effect noise). Most of the makeup I was previously wearing is gone, my face is clean and it just feels so luxurious and moisturised! If I feel I still have excess mascara remaining (as you do) I repeat just once more. I mean it when I say that this product is 3 things in 1.

As for the results, I haven't seen a huge difference, but I haven't noticeably broken out for a few weeks so I don't know exactly how the product would react with my random outbreaks of spots, however my skin definitely hasn't got worse and that's good enough for me! It also smells so delicious, it's incredibly spa-like and refreshing and it literally feels like an intense pamper session in about a minute.

Considering I've already used half the bottle almost, I thought It definitely deserved a review! And for £15.50 for 150ml it is incredibly affordable for the quality of the product!

Have you ever tried anything from Arabelle Skin Sense before? What are your opinions on oil cleansers?

Have a great day!
