Favourite Lipsticks of 2013!

Left to right: Maybelline Colour Sensational 808 Soft Pearl | YSL Rouge Volupté 7 Lingerie Pink | Mac Cremeup | Maybelline Baby Lips Pink Punch | Seventeen Beehive | Rimmel Moisture Renew 380 Dark Night Waterl-oops! |

Packaging wise, it's obvious that YSL is in the lead as it's beautiful golden encasing significantly stands out amongst the rest of the lipsticks. It's one of those that you'd want to show off on your desk, or at least with me that's the case. The formulation is also beautiful and they feel so silky on the lips. The only downside is this shade in particular doesn't last a huge amount of time, but it probably doesn't help that the colour is so light. On the other hand, the deep berry tone of the Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick is something I didn't own before buying this one, and surprisingly, I actually really love it, especially with a golden smoky eye. Again, the downside is that the new formula of the Rimmel lipsticks means that the lipstick is distinctively a lot more creamy, perhaps too creamy, and therefore the lipstick tends to bleed if I'm not careful.

As you can already tell, I'm definitely more of a muted pink lipstick fan, however recently I've been trying to venture out of my comfort zone, even if that means just trying a different texture or formula. Overall I'd have to say Mac's Cremecup and Seventeens Beehive are two of my favourites, just because they are so easy to wear, and obviously YSl's Lingerie Pink purely because of it's stunning exterior.

What have been your favourite lipstick's through 2013? Have you tried any of the lipsticks I featured?

Have a great day!

The Christmas Tag!

As I was tagged by the lovely Estelle, and because its Christmas, I thought why not take part in the Christmas tag! I love everything about Christmas so this is perfect for me.

What are you up to on Christmas Eve?
To be completely honest, I don't know myself yet. I'll more than likely just stay in with the family and just eat lots and lots of chocolate!

Who do you spend your Christmas day with?
This is always a little complicated but for the previous 2 years I've had Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with my mother's side. Then at around 12pm on Christmas day my dad picks me up and I go to my aunties for Christmas dinner and the rest of my dad's side, and then my dad will drop me off with my mum later on- if that made any sense!

Do you enjoy giving or receiving gifts?
I'm not going to lie I absolutely love receiving presents, but there really is no better feeling than watching someone open the present you bought them and them love it, as cheesy as it sounds.

What does your outfit consist of on Christmas Day?
It depends on where I'm going, if I'm just staying at home all day I'll just stay in my comfortable clothes (PJ's, joggers etc...) but if I'm going out I'll usually make a bit of an effort and wear a dress. New Years Eve is mainly the night in which I dress up rather than Christmas, again depending on what I'm doing.

Do you enjoy shopping for your loved one's gifts?
I absolutely love it! It's so much fun. Personally, I quite enjoy it when shops are rammed with people due to the Christmas season and everywhere is really busy, but I know it's not for everyone.

Have you ever received a gift that you disliked and pretended you liked it?
To be completely honest with you, no! Or at least not that I can remember.

What would your ideal Christmas be?
Sorry Estelle I'm stealing your idea. My perfect (but incredibly pretentious and it would never happen) Christmas would be in a huge log cabin in the middle of Italy with all my family and friends with snow outside and reindeer's and skiing and hot chocolate and... you get the point.

What is your least favourite thing about Christmas?
That's it comes and goes SO quickly, I just wish It could be Christmas all the time!

What is the best gift you have ever received?
I consider both my laptop and piano as a late Christmas present so if I could say 2 things, it would be them!

If you could choose one person to spend Christmas with who would it be and why?
I don't really understand this question in terms of people I know or celebrities, If we mean celebrities I would have to say Harry Styles, because, Harry Styles....

I tag YOU!

What is your favourite thing about Christmas? What do your think to the questions included int his tag?

Have a great day!

Defining Fashion & Trends

Just like an artist, fashion enthusiasts know that fashion is not just a hobby, fashion is not just a way in people choose to make money, fashion is art. Fashion is intelligent in the way that it is capable of exposing emotions or personalities, just through the way we dress or desire to. Now I'm not going to sit here and say that the whole world revolves around fashion, because I would most probably be lying to you, however the art of fashion is something that can not be defined. Everyone approaches fashion with a different perspective, and the inevitable versatility of fashion influences so many people to be intrigued and be captivated by such a huge industry.
"Describe fashion in 3 words"... "That is impossible"
Trends are something that are again inescapable, whether we like it or not. If it be from a model we see on the catwalk or from the current new girl band that grace our screens, trends come and go. My advice is to be careful when it comes to buying new items at the absolute prime of a new trend, I wouldn't recommend investing in something if its presumably a passing trend and you know you wouldn't buy it unless everyone else was wearing it... but you already knew that. I believe that trends are an effective way of introducing original material into the world of fashion even if it's just for a limited time!

Highly sought after individuals or promoters impact the way we think about fashion in a way that we don't even realise. Trends happen right before our very own eyes and we are completely oblivious to even begin to comprehend it. For example, Cara Delevigne, instantly all I can think about is that beautiful cream trench coat she sported in the Burberry adverts or the luminous mini Oscar De La Renta Dress she strutted the catwalk in.

Image- Google

Automatically, our brains are tuned to lust after those items, or at least mine definitely is.  Just like Darwin's theory of natural selection, you don't see many people wearing full Victorian lace ball gowns on a regular Tuesday morning anymore, but that's because new trends have occurred and occasionally, one will stick around, revolutionising the way we dress.

Image- Google
If you had to describe fashion in 3 words, what would you say? What is your opinion on the transformation of fashion throughout history?

Have a great day!

Beyoncé Releases Entire Brand New Album!

Image- Tumblr
The Queen has done it again, but this time, no publicity, no interviews and no promotion. Beyonce Knowles, currently the most talked about woman in the entire world has only gone and dropped a new album after a long, hard 2 years wait since her groundbreaking album '4' in 2011. The new virtual self-titled album includes 14 brand new songs, and 17 unbelievable videos featuring the likes of Drake, Frank Ocean, Jay-Z and even baby Blue. She really has achieved the impossible, I mean how on earth would a woman who's performing 6 nights a week, maintaining a marriage and looking after her child simultaneously find the time to establish such an amazing album like this one.

As for us fans, it was a shock to the system when she spontaneously placed an entire album on iTunes and an unpredictable statement of 'surprise'. I say spontaneous, most probably more like well planned and scheduled- nonetheless, an incredibly welcomed surprise!

My favourite songs on the album are currently 'Drunk In Love' which I can already tell will be a number one hit, and 'Blue' because it's so personal and original from what I've heard any other artist do previously.

Image- Tumblr
The videos even feature the familiar faces of Jourdan Dunn, Chanel Iman and Joan Smalls, incredible! I think it's fair to say that she really sets the bar in terms of accomplishment, no one has an excuse anymore. The woman is essentially brilliant and the ultimate role model. 'Beyonce' will inevitably becoming my favourite album- I can already tell.

What do your think of Beyoncé's no-promotion album release? Will you buy the album, if you have already what did you think?

Have a great day!

A/W Shoe Picks!

Personally, shoes are a key factor in any outfit. Those who are frequent readers of this blog are aware that I think the coat and shoes are the items that can either make or break an outfit. They can transform your look completely at the fastening of a strap.

We all know that trends change through the duration of each year, and winter is when it all kicks off in the shoe department. December and January are the ultimate party season and a good pair of shoes wouldn't go a miss, so here are a few of my favourites I've spotted on the highstreet, for both everyday wear and parties!
From right to left, top row to bottom row: Vagabond | Kurt Geiger | Office | Topshop | Kurt Geiger | Missguided |
What do you think about the items I picked for winter? What are/ going to be your most worn shoes this winter?

Have a great day!

Christmas Wishlist- Fashion Edition!

Christmas Wishlist- Fashion Edition
Black Chelsea Boots, H&M | Mint Green Coat, Romwe | Tartan Trousers, Zara | Red Scarf, Barbour | Bag, Chanel | Pink Coat, Topshop |

Winter fashion is my absolute favourite type of fashion, if that's even a thing. I just love the dark vampy colours and the autumnal prints! Coming up are a few items that I would love to add to my wardrobe this Christmas!

H&M Black Chelsea Boots-
I bought a pair of chestnut Chelsea boots this time last year and haven't had them off since. If I can get so much wear out of a pair of brown ones I dread to think how much wear I would get out of a pair of black ones. I mean it when I say they go with pretty much any outfit you pair them with, and look great! I would definitely benefit from a pair of plain black ones *hint hint*!

Romwe Mint Green Coat-
I know this is on my wish list but I cheated and bought this already, although I ordered it over a month ago and it still hasn't arrived... This little beauty from Romwe, I spotted it on one of Patricia Bright's videos who is an amazing Blogger and 'YouTuber' whom you should all go check out right now! I love the pastel trend that's hit the hughstreet this winter, it would add a nice pop of colour to an all black outfit!

Zara Tartan Trousers-
I think these are a little bit of a hit or miss for some people, but personally I love them! I don't own anything like this so they would be a great piece to have. I think the green ties in really well with the blue, and although they are both very different colours, they look very classy but still comfortable!

Barbour Tartan Scarf-
Yet again another tartan piece, everyone is continuously going on about the tartan scarf and I completely understand why. They are just so beautiful and are a great way to add some colour and texture to an outfit, and with a big coat and a hat, a tartan scarf would fit right in.

Chanel 2.55-
I wish I could say the same thing about this as I did for the coat, I don't think I will ever own anything as beautiful as this for as long as I live, and if I am ever lucky enough to own one, it won't be for a very (VERY) long time. I mean I don't think I could even trust myself with an item like this just because I would be so scared to damage or ruin it. Nonetheless, this is probably the most beautiful bag on the market in my opinion and is an absolutely timeless, classic piece. Oh Coco...

Topshop Pastel Pink Coat-
As embarrassing as it sounds I must have stood in front of the mirror in Topshop for what felt like an eternity (probably more like ten minutes) just adoring this coat. Again, this demonstrates the pastel trend and would look like you had done your research on fashion, and simultaneously be wrapped up warm in a big snuggly coat! Sounds ideal to me.

Do you own any of the items featured? What do you like best about winter fashion?

Have a great day!

BLOG ANNIVERSARY!

My two lovely friends bought me this for my actual birthday earlier this month but I thought it was kind of relevant!
Wow, I honestly can't quite believe that I am sat here writing his right now. A year ago today, is the day I set up my blog, wrote my first post, and clicked the incredibly satisfying publish button, for the first time. Did I mention 'the first time' in that sentence?

I was dwelling on the idea of setting up 'MegBolderson' for a few weeks. I knew I wanted to be some form of journalist and I thought that blogging would be great way to start me off, even if no one actually read it. I wanted to stay grounded and not become pretentious, I mean who starts a blog and within a week has a million readers, really? I remember exactly how it happened. I was at my dads old house, in his office, and the growing idea of starting a blog had ripened and I knew exactly what I needed to do. I typed 'blogger' into the little window and the rest was history...

Little did I know, people actually read my blog, like real people, humans. People actually take time out of their day to read what I have to say, and that means more to me than anything. Now, not that I purposely want to bore you and I don't want to have to do the stereotypical 'thank you speech', but it's long overdue and I just wanted to say thank you to each and every one of you that have stood by me for the duration of this wonderful year, and I am honestly beyond grateful for your continuos support!  Proud is just an understatement and to have such a lovely community behind me makes all the difference, I love you all extraordinarily.

P.s I also hit 10,000 page views a few days ago- a milestone I thought I would never acheive! Thank you so much for your continuos love and support!
Have a great day!

November Playlist

Considering i'd class myself as more of a fashion and beauty blogger, there is noting I love more than incorporating my passion for writing with music! It's definitely the ultimate combination, so I'm going to make more of an effort to make this a monthly series.

Vampire Weekend- 'Hannah Hunt'
Up first is a band you all probably know I'm crazy about, Vampire Weekend! After waiting for the day since the first time I ever heard them on the radio, I managed to see them live at their gig in Leeds on Saturday at the new arena in Leeds. They were absolutely sensational and the crowd was insane, definitely a memory that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Anyway, a song I'm currently obsessed with is Hannah Hunt, I just can't stop playing it. The use of instruments in the songs is incredible, I must have listened to it about 20 times today already. Their sound is just so unique and individual, and although I like to think I'm open to a variety of music, Vampire Weekend are and probably always will be my favourite band.

Noah and the Whale- '5 Years Time'
That leads me nicely onto my next song, 5 years time from Noah and the Whale. They were the supporting act for Vampire Weekend and were as always, amazing. After seeing them live for the first time, I would definitely love to see them again, and plan on doing so next time they are nearby. The song is just so upbeat and positive and every time I hear it I just want to get up and dance, but it doesn't take much...

Ariana Grande- 'Right Here'
Thirdly is Ariana Grande, Right Here, I heard this song earlier this month and despite already being a huge fan of her, her songs just keeps expanding and I think its about time I bought her album. Her range is unbelievable and everything she sings sounds angelic.

Semisonic- 'Closing Time'
Ok, I know this song has been around a long time, but every single time it happens to play during shuffle I just can't help but sing. It's a complete classic and everything about it is so thrilling. It's one of those songs that I tend to forget about, so when it does magically appear through my speakers I fall more and more in love with it.

Shakka- 'Just Want To See You'
After hearing this on Radio 1 earlier this month it quickly made it's way into my favourites, it's one of those songs that sounds live, but isn't. I'm not quite sure who this Shakka is but he definitely deserves more recognition in the music industry, his sounds is so different! The song is raw, and real, if that makes any sense. It seems like what he's singing about, he's singing it for a reason. Just listen and you'll see what I mean.

Two Door Cinema Club- 'Changing of the Seasons'
Two Door Cinema Club are another brand I don;t know much about, but just love the music they create. Changing of the Seasons is not only incredibly appropriate for the season as winter is around the corner, but it's also an amazing song.

Christmas Songs
Did you really think I could depart without exposing my love for Christmas songs? Even if it's only November, I'm completely in the Christmas already, however I have resisted the urge to put the tree up. For now, I'll have to make do with Christmas songs, who's complaining?

What songs are you currently loving? Do you like any of the songs I featured?

Have a great day!

Festive Fashion

Image Background Source- Tumblr
Fashion is obviously the prime factor in why most of us are here, certainly me anyway. Without fashion, I couldn't be a fashion blogger, I couldn't be a fashion enthusiast and I sure would have a lot more money. However, fashion is something a lot of people take pride in, a way in which we express ourselves and without fashion, I think the world we live in would be a very mundane and unmotivated environment. I love the way fashion can instantly change the way the mind reacts to things, and has the ability to instantly change how you feel.

My absolute favourite season for fashion is the A/W months. The structure of a outfit is completely different to summer, depending on the occasion, in my opinion. Despite the fact that in summer I love running through fields in nothing but a bright summer dress and a floppy hat (I wish), I love nothing more than wrapping up warm in 10 different layers, throwing on a thick knitted scarf and a pair of boots! Adding depth to an outfit is probably my favourite element to festive fashion, I love pairing knitted jumpers with woollen coats, or the other way around.

My attitudes towards festive fashion have changed a lot throughout the years. I used to hate the winter, and now... Well let's just say I want it to snow purely so I can pile on the jumpers. On that note, as part of the Next Blogger Network I thought it would be a great idea to make a wishlist of the most beautiful festive pieces from their website that I adore!

Buy here.

The tartan print is massive this season as most of you will already know. This coat is so different because although it still incorporates the tartan print it has a complete different edge in this khaki green almost grey colour. It would also be extremely easy to wear as the dark colour is simpler to style, making any outfit look effortlessly well put together!

Buy here.

I don't care who you are, the cheesy reindeer Christmas jumper is an absolute necessity when it comes to winter!
Buy here.
I remember seeing something like this in H&M years ago and never bought it but haven't stopped thinking about it since, this takes layering to whole new depths, I just love this so much!

Buy here.
A trouser with a subtle check like this are amazing, the simplicity of them opens so many doors in terms of what to pair them with, and the monochrome element makes everything so much more straightforward.

What are your opinions on festive fashion? What was your favourite thing I featured?

Have a great day!

Christmas Wishlist- Beauty Edition! | MegBolderson.

Christmas Wishlist- Beauty Edition!

Hello there everyone! As you may all know Christmas Is just around the corner, and I've been struggling as to what to ask for this Christmas. After brainstorming (*searching all over the Internet*) for ideas, I finally got a few beauty products together and thought I would show you what is on my wish list this year.

Mac Omega Eyeshadow- After watching a whole lot of YouTube videos, I soon realised that if you have blonde hair like me, Omega is a perfect shade for your brows, or at least better than what I'm using at the moment. I'm currently using a really dark brown shadow from Urban Decay but it's the only thing that I can make work if I try hard enough. I also want my eyebrows to look a lot more natural and look less 'drawn on', and even though essentially, that is what they are, I want them to look somewhat natural, so maybe Omega will be the answer to my prayers!

Dolce and Gabanna Light Blue- I have most likely mentioned this in a post before, but this is honestly one of the most amazing fragrances I've ever smelt. I was a queue away from buying this little miracle once but I then saw Dolce and Gabanna L'eur The One and decided to go for that one instead, seen as I can't find it anywhere, even online. I think the fact I can't stop thinking about this justifies putting it on my wish list this year, and although it's a very light, summer scent, I just need to own it.

Urban Decay Primer Potion- I had this product years and years ago in a palette I was given for my birthday once and have been meaning to purchase it again for quite some time now. It really is as amazing as everyone says. The eyeshadow applies better, looks brighter and lasts longer, amazing!

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr- My friend has a few of these and they look amazing! I love the concept of wearing them by themselves, and it still looking like you made an effort with your eye makeup. Seen as I'm still in high school, who wants to be doing a full eye look on a morning?!

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Lipstick- Shade 7 Lingerie Pink-
I mean packaging alone, these lipsticks are just divine, but the colour, that is another story. Lingerie Pink is this beautiful pink with a hint of shimmer, nothing too dramatic but still gives your lips that glowing shine. Considering the only high end lipsticks I own are Mac, it might be nice to try something else. I'm not a packaging snob whatsoever (yeah right) but this is certainly going to look beautiful in my amongst my makeup.

Real Techniques Brushes- Everyone owns at least one of these, and if you don't, where have you been? They really are brilliant brushes an you can't go wrong for the affordable prices they retail at! Check out my Real Techniques powder brush review here.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer- I've been wanting this for quite some time now, I think a foundation primer is something I'm missing in my routine, and from the reviews I've heard it will make a huge difference to the way my foundation applies, looks, and lasts. apparently it's incredibly heavy though so if I ever happen to own it, I'll have to be careful with how much I apply.

Nars Laguna Bronzer- A cult favourite for many, this bronzer is loved by many. Every single bronzer I've tried either breaks me out or is too orange for my skin. Maybe a more expensive bronzer will work better for my skin because I just can't find one I like!

What's on your Christmas wish list? Have you tried anything I featured in this post?

Have a great day!

What's On My Dressing Table? Christmas Edition | MegBolderson.

Hello Everyone, so as we all know, Christmas is almost here! Well, not really, more like 2 months away. Perhaps considering I wait more or less 10 months for this time to come around, I think I deserve to be a little excited a little early (as some would say). Before we know it we'll be packing up the Christmas decorations and saying goodbye to Christmas, so let's make the most of it before it's over!

Every year is different. however sometimes I struggle to get in the Christmas mood, more so when I was younger, however what harm does a few additions to my room to make it feel a little more cosy do? This year it's all about candles, who am I kidding, Christmas is always about candles. I honestly never knew how much of a difference candles make to a room, especially one that isn't particularly big, like mine. They just send such a satisfying aroma throughout the room creating more of a somewhat relaxed vibe.

Fairy Lights are also my key to Christmas. If you have a mirror like mine, you have to get a set of fairy lights if you're feeling a little demotivated about Christmas. I know this sounds ridiculous and slightly delusional, but they make me feel a lot more welcome in my own space, I don't mean I don't feel welcome any other time of the year, but every time I turn them on I just feel so much more at home!

Christmas is most definitely my favourite time of the year, the weather, the festivities, the dark nights, the list could go on forever!

What is your favourite time of the year?

Have a great day!

Arabelle Skin Sense Balance It Oil Cleanser Review | MegBolderson.

Balance It Oil Cleanser*- £15.50 buy here
For about a year now, I've had the same skincare routine. When I find something that works for me I usually don't change it until I absolutely have to. Consisting of merely face wash and moisturiser I thought it was about time I switched things up a little- that is when I stumbled upon this little miracle.

I've never used an oil cleanser before, so it was all new to me. I thought there might be some complicated routine following application of the cleanser, but no! Low and behold, this product really is a lot more straightforward that I ever expected.

I don't bother removing my makeup first because the cleanser does it for me, and the same with moisturiser afterwards. I apply it by pumping a small amount onto my face and let the product saturate into my skin for around 30 seconds, I then rinse off with warm water and pat dry with a towel, wallah!- (Terrible sound effect noise). Most of the makeup I was previously wearing is gone, my face is clean and it just feels so luxurious and moisturised! If I feel I still have excess mascara remaining (as you do) I repeat just once more. I mean it when I say that this product is 3 things in 1.

As for the results, I haven't seen a huge difference, but I haven't noticeably broken out for a few weeks so I don't know exactly how the product would react with my random outbreaks of spots, however my skin definitely hasn't got worse and that's good enough for me! It also smells so delicious, it's incredibly spa-like and refreshing and it literally feels like an intense pamper session in about a minute.

Considering I've already used half the bottle almost, I thought It definitely deserved a review! And for £15.50 for 150ml it is incredibly affordable for the quality of the product!

Have you ever tried anything from Arabelle Skin Sense before? What are your opinions on oil cleansers?

Have a great day!
Meg x

*Arabelle Skin Sense were kind enough to send me this product, however content is all my honest opinion as stated in my disclaimer.

Pro-Voke Silver Shampoo&Conditioner Review! | MegBoderson.

Pro-Voke Twice a Week Brightening Shampoo and Daily Nourishing Conditioner | Around £2 each.

This is a review I've been interested in doing for months now, but wanted to properly give the product a chance before giving an opinion of it I may well felt differently a few weeks later. This is the 'Pro-Voke Touch of Silver Twice a Week Brightening Shampoo and Daily Nourishing Conditioner!' I'm sure you've all seen these before, and know exactly what they do, but I may as well tell you again for any of you that don't know!

Now if you're the same as me and dye your hair blonde, or have highlights, will find that after a few weeks the glossy 'salon' colour slowly diminishes and your hair becomes a very dull shade of blonde, perhaps even resembling more copper than blonde. Although golden locks are every girls dream, sometimes I find I want my hair to be a little more ashy and brighter than orange-toned.

The idea of the 'purple shampoo' is to neutralise the brassy tones in your hair that to create not only a more ashy, silver shade, but to give you that 'fresh out of the salon' appearance again. And who can say no to that, really? From what I've researched, the purple colour they use is the exact opposite shade of yellow on the colour spectrum. So applying this to your hair for 5 minutes twice a week is meant to balance out the yellow pigment in your hair.

After using this for a week, I didn't see much difference in the colour of my hair, other than a tiny difference under certain light, but I kept with it because I've heard some brilliant things on this shampoo and conditioner duo. I'm so happy I did because low and behold, after about 4 washes I saw a huge difference in the colour of my hair, It honestly has changed it from being a really amber colour to having a bright almost silver tinge! I'm so pleased I decided to try it and I will definitely be using it when my hair needs an urgent pick-me-up! I dread to think what colour my hair would be now If I hadn't decided to use it.

Have you ever tried a silver shampoo before? If so, what did you think?

Have a great day!

Current Beauty Favourites! | MegBolderson.

I know my blog is now mainly fashion-based, but what hurt will it do to do the occasional beauty post now and again, therefore today I'm bringing to you my current beauty favourites! I realised that I've actually been enjoying using quite a lot of things, so I thought it was about time I told you why.

Benefit's 'They're Real'- Ok, so everyone and their mum owns this (Yep my mum too!), and as much as I hate to say it, it is a very cliché 'blogger' thing to do, but that's ok, now I understand what all the fuss is about. I mean, I didn't actually think it was possible to be so impressed with a mascara. Mascara is so important to me in my daily makeup routine, especially for school. I don't usually wear a full face of makeup for school, so a sweep of powder and a coat of this little miracle, and I'm good to go. It really does make the world of a difference, and although spending around £19 on a mascara may seem a little unnecessary and excessive to some people, it is completely worth it and I 100% recommend it!

Toni%Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray- Salt sprays are something I've never ventured into using until a few months ago, I used wear my hair straight most of the time, so it never really appealed to me. But recently, It's all about at least 'attempting' to achieve volume and texture in my hair, so this does the job perfectly! It was so inexpensive too at around £3!

Tangle Teezer- I recently featured this in my A/W'13 Wishlist post which you can read here. I'd seen a lot of talk about this on the bloggersphere and was so eager to try it out. Boy am I glad I did, It's amazing! It glides through my hair and I feel my hair is in better condition already. I don't even know if that's meant to happen or its psychological, but whatever the reason, I'm in love!

Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Nail Treatment- I go through stages where I try and grow my nails, and then where I'm not as bothered or my mind is focused somewhere else. I've used this for as long as I can remember but I've been neglecting my nails a lot recently, and honestly they are just so gross and unappealing! I really am going to try my best efforts to focus on my nails and make my hands look a little nicer for Christmas (So I can do cute festive colours and patterns), and applying a coat of this every other day gives me visible results in no longer than a week. I genuinely  think this product is  amazing and deserves so much more recognition!

Boujours Delice de Powdre Bronzing Powder- Otherwise known as 'The Chocolate Bronzer', this bronzer has had raved reviews for months and I finally managed to get my hands on it. I bought shade 52 and I use it in the hollows of my cheeks and the side of my nose! It's the perfect warm toned powder to apply a little bit of colour to your face. I'll be needing this a lot, especially throughout the colder months.

MUA Lipstick (Shade 16)- This was the first thing I ever bought from MUA, I have no idea why I haven't tried the company line before because everything I've bought so far has been amazing! Shade 16 is a gorgeous mix of red and orange, I wore it a lot throughout summer and will more than likely carry on using it right up to winter. The best part, It was £1, yes that's right I said it, £1. I will definitely be buying more!

MAC Brush Cleanser- I've had this for ages but I've only just rediscovered it within my drawers. As I've said previously, I'm recently trying to get to grips with eyeshadow, so brush cleanser has been a necessity when you're switching from white to black shades (Not a good look, haha!), and this does the job nicely!

What have you been loving recently? Have you tried anything I mentioned?

Have a great day!

The Pastel-Pink Coat Take Over | MegBolderson.

The pink coat... It speaks for itself.  Hot from the runway, the pastel-pink coat is the quintessence of femininity, the spirit and soul of fall fashion. It really is one of the most functional, flexible pieces to have in your wardrobe right now, ultimately becoming the focal-point for any outfit. Pastel-pink is a colour that was once assigned to summer and summer only, but now, expectations have been somewhat exceeded and it's everywhere, and should definitely be hanging in your closet. (I need one!). The crisp, clean lines mean this coat adapts around the figure, creating a flattering, elegant, and polished result. The amalgamation of pastel-pink and wool combines so successfully, that almost anything could be worn with this, and it would still be the centre of attention, without being excessive or overwhelming.

What's your favourite trend for A/W'13? Is there anything in particular you're going to make an effort to purchase this season?

P.S- I have an exam next week so posts will be a little less frequent.
Have a great day!

The Autumn Tag! | MegBolderson.

Hey guys! Today I have a very exciting, autumnal post for you all to read! Now, if you're a regular reader of my blog, you will know about my blogging-bestie, the absolutely beautiful Estelle from Let Me Go xo, well she's only gone and tagged me in another thoroughly intriguing tag!

So let's get to the questions,
For Autumn, what is your...

Favourite thing about it?
Ok, so this is pretty tricky, but perhaps my absolute favourite thing about autumn is layering! Don't get me wrong, short dresses and kimonos are all fun and games in the summer time, but when it reaches autumn, I go crazy for the big woolly jumpers and coats! Scarves are one of my favourite ways to layer up an outfit and add texture and dimension, and still be weather appropriate!

Favourite scent/candle?
I don't have a particular favourite candle but my favourite scent for fall is hands down, vanilla. I just instantly feel 10x more cosy and comfortable when I light a vanilla candle and it just gets me in the Christmas spirit!...(Yes, I know it's only September)

Best Lipstick?
Again, I don't particularly have a favourite lipstick for the forthcoming months either, perhaps I'll decide that one in a few weeks and get back to you. I'm definitely intrigued by the dark lip recently though, I've seen Beyonce along with many others sporting a dark plum lip and it looks spectacular!

Go to moisturiser?
Most probably just the Nivea soft moisturiser I always use for my face, and recently I've been loving the Nip+Fab pistachio sundae body butter for the rest of my body, it just screams autumn!

Go to colour for the eyes?
I'm glad this question came up actually because as of lately, I've been really trying my best to incorporate eyeshadow into my makeup routine. I really do think it can completely transform your desired 'look' however I'm not very good at it (*re-phrase that*, terrible!)... But I'm trying! I'm making a conscious effort to buy more eyeshadow, and on my free days, just play around and see what works and what doesn't. So I'd probably just be safe at the moment and stick to neutrals, perfectly appropriate for the autumn months too, so it's pretty convenient.

Favourite band/singer or music to listen to?
My music taste is the same all year really, except from a week before Christmas where I refuse to play anything other than Christmas music... Beyonce, Vampire Weekend, Jack Johnson, Arctic Monkeys, Two Door Cinema Club, etc etc...

Favourite outfit to wear?
As I said before, layering is my absolute favourite thing about Autumn, but I don't have a particular go-to outfit when it comes to the colder months. Off the top of my head, my ideal just everyday, fall outfit would be a pair of jeans (I live in them), a casual top, a sweater, about as many jumper as humanly possible, my tweed 'old-grandma' coat (as I like to call it), a big scarf and a pair of Chelsea boots!

Autumn Treat?
I think my wardrobe is majorly lacking in jeans! So this autumn, my treat to myself is an injection of jeans!

Favourite place to be?
I know pretty much everyone has said this, but in a wood somewhere listening to the leaves crunching beneath the soles of my feet! And if that's not possible, in front of the fire with a cup of tea watching some trash-TV!

Tag's are my favourite because not only do you get to know a lot more about me, but I get to know a lot more about you if you choose to do it too!

Thank you again to the fabulous Estelle for tagging me! Make sure you go check her out.
I tag these beauties to do the tag too, their blogs are amazing, and of course anyone else who wants to do it!
