*MERRY CHRISTMAS* | MegBolderson.

Hello everybody, can you guess what day it is? CHRISTMAS! This is all so exciting for me. I suppose you could say my family live all over the world. That is why I love Christmas so much, it is a time where everyone comes together and has family time! I just wanted to make a small post to say how grateful and privileged I am to have the advantage of spending Christmas with those close to my heart. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Have a great day!

My Ultimate MAC Products | MegBolderson.

I always seem to ask myself the question... If you were stranded on an island in the middle of the ocean, and could only take three makeup products or tools, what would you take?  This question always seems to be at the back of my mind, but only today I choose to answer it. Why I haven't done this sooner, I honestly do not know, but all I know is it literally took me a few hours to decide on what to pick. Luckily I did eventually decide on three products, and I wanted to show you why I picked them!

These products are by a company called MAC. They sell pretty much everything from brushes to primers, blushes to nail polish! MAC isn't the cheapest and is maybe not the best place to shop if you're on a budget, however it does offer high-end quality products that appeal to everyone at average prices.

Last year I purchased a product not knowing how much I would fall in love with it! I had never used a 'highlighter' before let alone know what it was (except those neon pens you get in class). I was instantly attracted to the rocky texture and gleaming sparkles and had to buy it! This amazing product I'm talking about is the MAC mineralize skinfinish in 'Soft and Gentle'. I have had this for longer than a year and it looks like I have barely used any. Like I said MAC products can sometimes be a little pricey but they are SO worth it! All you need to do is gently swipe your brush along the surface and 'walah', you're good to go. It works perfectly for neutral looks if you gently swipe your brush along the surface and apply just above the cheekbone and along the outer sides of you nose. It also works amazingly as a brow highlighter or even an eyeshadow and will instantly work with whatever look you are aiming for. That is the beauty of mineralize skinfinishes.

Staying with the mineralize theme, my next favourite MAC product is the mineralize blush in 'Gentle'. I have genuinely had this blush for longer than a year and I haven't even hit pan yet. The pigmentation is unreal and that could be one of the reasons why I haven't used much as you don't need to apply a lot. It is really effective and works really well if your going for a dramatic look! This blush is excessively pigmented and works a dream. A little dab does the trick! Apply this to the apple of your cheeks and blend.

My final favourite has to be a brush, because what are you going to apply these fabulous face products with? My ultimate holy grail MAC brush has to be the '168' angled contour brush. I find this brush works with pretty much everything, (except foundation) and is spectacular value for money! I have owned this brush for a few months and have only had to deep clean it a few times, (besides 'spot cleaning') as I find it doesn't intake any excess and really does the job! It is brilliant for contouring and I even use it to apply powder blush sometimes.

(As you can see the silver lettering has worn off the brushes, this is due to use).

That concludes my 'Top three holy grail MAC products'. Thank you for reading!

Have a great day!

Christmas Wish List & YouTube | MegBolderson.

Every Christmas my wish list is far longer than what it should be, but fortunately this year that doesn't seem to be the case. My list this year is somewhat non-existent (compared to what it used to be anyway). So I was thinking... Me and my friends have recently taken a liking to watching YouTube videos filmed by people just like us. Introducing more and more different YouTube channels to them, we have decided that we would like to start our own channels and shoot videos. Of course this is not certain, but it is a possibility. I'm still pretty hesitant, and I have lots of questions, but everyone has to start somewhere, and we are thinking about doing it because it seems so fun and really enjoyable ,therefore I have asked for a camera!

I have asked for the 'Nikon Coolpix L310' because it seems pretty suitable as it is affordable. Seen as I'm only a beginner and very new to all of this camera malarkey, I didn't want to spend huge amounts of money on something I'm not 100% sure on yet. You can buy this from around £120.

I also realised that I have hardly any 'Alien' remaining. By that I mean the Eau De Parfum by Thierry Mugler. It is honestly the nicest perfume I have ever worn, and I've had so many compliments. I currently have the 30ml (1.7 Fl Oz) bottle and I purchased it at the end of June. I have worn it nearly everyday since the day I bought it and I still have half the bottle left! I'm still amazed. I love it so much I have asked for the bigger bottle! Although it is very strong and rich, if you only wear a small amount, it can really compliment you. I recommend this perfume. You can buy this from £35.

I've been into various perfume stores and every single time I have been drawn to Juicy Couture's 'Couture Couture'. It is encased in a beautiful glass bottle and smells like heaven! It has the most amazing sweet, almost oriental smell and is most definitely a 'floral fragrance'. It will certainly be an item on my Christmas wish list. If you happen to find yourself anywhere that stocks this perfume I recommend you spray it onto your wrist and wait to fall in love. I did... You can buy this from around £40 in most department stores.

That concludes the majority of my Christmas wish list for the year of 2012! I hope this has inspired you if you are struggling for what to ask for, or even what to purchase for someone with the same interests as me.

Have a great day!

Christmas Festivities! | MegBolderson.

Today is December 1st, which means the beginning of advent! I'm so excited, the holidays are coming (cheesy Coca Cola quote). It only feels like a few weeks since the start of 2012, how on earth has it got to Christmas already? Nevertheless I'm not complaining. December is easily my favourite month in the calendar, for lots of reasons. The main reason obviously being Christmas, but even the little things. Like the smell of the cold air, or perhaps the feeling of waking up with a blanket of gleaming, fresh snow waiting for you when you open your curtains, instantly screaming 'SNOWBALL FIGHT'. That is when I become the 5 year old I once was, I run downstairs, squash my feet into the first pair of shoes I see and run around outside. I will never be too old to do that.

My family have many traditions when it comes to Christmas, whether that being what day we put the tree up, or what song we belt out at the top of our voices to the piano on Christmas day. Me and my mother always put the Christmas tree up together, even if we have to wait until last minute. This year we did it on December 1st. Up until last year we only ever owned one tree to assemble and decorate, but we decided to buy another. So we now have one in the lounge, and one in the dining room, which is nice. We had a really fun day decorating the house, with the occasional cry of Bridget Jones in the background. That's another thing, we can't do this without having some sort of Christmas film/album playing in the background, and seen as its only December 1st (practically still November), we needed something to make the atmosphere a little less November, and a little more December. This year it was Love Actually followed up with the first Bridget Jones. So all in all I have had a very productive day!
Christmas tree no.1.

Have a great day!
