Last minute prom buys!

For some, the spray tan has worn of, the dress has been hidden away and the crown has gone home to it's rightful owner. For others, it is all still to come. In my case, and probably many others', prom has been on the horizon for a never ending 5 years. I remember being in year 7 pondering on what my dress will look like and how to have my hair. Now the day is less than a month away. For some people prom is a last minute decision, which is totally understandable. Exams can get the better of people, and unfortunately prom can take a backseat. Despite this, it's never too late to get prepared and find your perfect outfit! Hopefully this post will make it a bit easier or will give you some inspiration if you're still looking for a prom dress or even just an evening gown!

Current Wishlist!

Hello! First of all I would like to say a huge thank you to anyone still visiting my blog. Ive had almost 4 months off and It's beginning to have a huge impact on me; Going from blogging all the time to not at all is surprisingly difficult.  On the bright side, exams are over. Therefore, that means I have all of 12 weeks to figure out what to do with myself. If you're a fellow blogger you'll be aware of the fact that even after a few weeks off it can be hard to get back into the swing of things in regard to blogging. Even now as I'm writing this despite feeling myself suffer the obligatory 'bloggers block' I also feel as though I'm rambling... That sentence was also a perfect example of how unprepared I was for the spontaneous decision to write a blog post.

Wishlist posts are what keeps me going, and so I thought it would be a nice one to ease me back in!

Public Desire Nude Heels
There is no denying that Public Desire are killing it recently. Every single time I visit the website I am inevitably greeted by many delightful pairs of shoes. On-trend and adventurous, this brand is going to be huge... if not already. Their Instagram is also dreamy so if you're someone with an avid appetite for shoes and great prices, look no further.

This is a little number I found on ASOS while browsing and couldn't help but fall head over heels for it. Personally, I love the frill trim around the leg which just adds originality to the playsuit. It would be perfect for one of those blissful summer nights on holiday.

I remember having a denim skirt when I was a child and never wanting to take it off. When a trend reappears it often intimidates me a little, (probably the reason why it's taken me so long to want add a denim skirt to my wishlist). I can't help but feel like I may put it on and feel like I'm 6 again. Nonetheless I spotted this one and instantly fell in love. Due to the fact it has an A-Line structure it promises to add shape to any figure, still sustaining the 70's vibe and vintage feel. It would be perfect with an off the shoulder crop top or a shirt!

The is one of those tops that is a basic necessity. Halter necks are my favourite kind of tops to wear as I find them flattering on pretty much anyone! Pair this with a pair of denim shorts and a cover up and your holiday ready.

Undoubtedly, this is at the top of the list in terms of urgency to buy. Somehow I have managed without this lipstick for the most part of a year - unbelievable! I adore this lipstick and will be repurchasing in the very near future. Trust me on this one, it's amazing.

After seeing this jumpsuit all over the Internet I just knew it was love at first sight. I never find myself gravitating towards nautical prints but this one took my breath away. River Island are always brilliant when it comes to the summer season and they have outdone themselves once again!

It is the season of glowing skin and luminous cheekbones. There is so much hype around this product which just makes me want to try it more and more! It would be perfect to give you that beach glow/dewy complexion everyone desires which makes a comeback every year. Who's complaining?

I think this is shirt perfect for all occasions. With it's basic colour scheme and wrap detail this shirt could take you from a casual day shopping to the beach over a bikini and shorts. Versatility is key, I think this shirt inhabits that quality perfectly.

Finally, Misguided are wonderful when it comes to small details and also recreating high end fashion for lower prices! Lemon is such a delicate colour which surprisingly can be worn all year round. The tiny lace edge on the bottom of the skirt makes it look so much more expensive than it actually is.

What have you been listing after this month? Do you prefer dressing for Autumn/Winter or Spring/Summer?

Have a great day!

Let's have a chat

Hi everyone,

With the end of January comes Paris Haute Couture week. This got me reminiscing about last year and the 4 days worth of breathtakingly beautiful garments I had the opportunity to see. It also got me thinking about the incredible time I had writing about all the shows here on my blog. Knowing that other people would have the chance to see what I was up to, and more importantly, admire the amazing shows just as much as I did really made it all the more exciting.

Inevitably, it got me thinking about how much I miss blogging. If you weren't already aware, we're 2 months into 2015 already and I've only posted twice! The only explanation I have for this is school and work-load. Despite this sounding like an excuse, the jump from year 10 to year 11 has been extraordinary and I wasn't quite as prepared as I expected. Being such a perfectionist It's really hard to achieve the right balance between everything; when you have so much going on at the same time you somewhat lose any form of actual life and the focus of your attention is primarily on revision and trying to tackle a million things at once.

In essence, it is completely my fault that I've managed to fall behind in the blogging world. When you're being told a million times a day how important grades are it's hard to prioritise anything other than school. In an ideal world, I would have all the free time a person could ever desire, and my blog would have fresh content every single day. That being said, it goes without saying that we aren't in an ideal world and it would be ludicrous to believe that we do always get what we want.

I'm not entirely sure what the point of this post was, or whether I just missed the adrenaline rush when you hit publish. Regardless, I just wanted to let you all know I'm still here, just please bear with me.

I have a whole post on my favourite blogs here for you to check out in the meantime.

Have a great day!

P.s. Thank you for all your support over the past 2 years. I couldn't even fathom a world without you lovely people and so it means the absolute world.

YSL Black Opium

YSL Black Opium - 50ml

Top Notes: Pink Pepper, Orange Blossom, Pear

Middle Notes: Coffee, Jasmine

Base Notes: Vanilla, Patchouli, Cedar

When I first saw this hit the shelves I won't lie, I automatically thought it would be a more masculine, and perhaps spicy scent, in regard to the name anyway. I mean 'Black Opium' doesn't exactly scream 16 year old girl if you ask me. Wanting to be thrown out of my comfort zone, my aim was to just try something completely different to what is already in my rapidly alternating collection. In a way I was right in the sense that it has a rich overall smell to it, and that it's not your stereotypical sweet and floral perfume. Despite this, there is something about it that is both wonderfully alluring and musky, yet still extremely feminine. Now I understand the controversy around the packaging and name as the charming and elegant smell is so unexpected. In terms of lasting power, it's nothing revolutionary, however it does linger for longer than some of my more sweeter perfumes.

Personally, I think this perfume has so many layers to it that every time I spray it it seems to smell different, in a positive way. When first applied to the skin it smells 10x different to when it has settled in, which I love as I'm constantly being reminded of a collection of beautiful and different tones that the perfume includes. It's so versatile as I could very happily wear this from first thing in the morning to later on at night. This perfume was always going to be a strong contender as one of my favourites since there is a copious amount of vanilla to go around; Since vanilla is my favourite scent in the whole world, I couldn't pass this up, and you shouldn't either!

This really is a delicious scent for those wanting something a little but unique, without being completely thrown in at the deep end.

Curls to last a lifetime | GHD Curve Review

I'm back with another rave review from none other than the brand new GHD launch! I was lucky enough to receive this stunning new curler for Christmas and after the success of my previous GHD review (click here) I thought that it couldn't go a miss on my blog.

I've always thought GHD specialised in just straighteners but I honestly could not be more wrong. The wand is unique in the sense that is starts out as a normal barrel and sort of flattens out towards the end. I haven't ever seen anything like it before and that's one reason as to why I was so elated to see it underneath the Christmas tree and see what it brought to the table.

When using this, the curls that are created just scream old Hollywood glamour to me as they create that really loose yet charming curl that everyone desires. I love this because it only takes around 10 seconds to heat up unlike my old curler that took far too long for someone as impatient as me. The curls last all day, but they do of course still drop, which is usually the case with most styling tools. Taking about 1-2 inch segments of hair, I curl outwards to achieve elegant and bouncy curls.

Like I said before, in my opinion GHD can really do no wrong. That's why I will continue to invest in their products probably until they stop making them... (which is hopefully never).

The only criticism I have for this is that it doesn't come with a 'safety glove', as I like to call them. For someone as prone to accidents as me, I would have preferred and felt safer using this with a glove. Despite this, I can always purchase a glove separately to put my mind at ease and stop me working about burning my hands.

The Results

I knew from the get go that this curler would have me smitten and I honestly don't know what I ever did without it!
